From the box:
Hildegard von Bingen - abbess, visionary, haeler, singer, poet and composer - has left us two precious parchment manuscripts containing her spiritual songs and a music drama, originally created for her sisters in their Benedictine convent on the Rupertsberg in Bingen. In Celestial Hierarchy, wich brings to a close Sequentia's long-term project to record the complete works of Hildegard on the DHM label, we hear songs of suprising depth and virtuosity, at times meditative, at times shocking, yet always energized by the unique musical genius and unmistakable voice of this visionary 'Sybil of the Rhein'.
